A Quote to Inspire Your Inner Fashion Creativity

“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening”
-Famous French designer, Coco Chanel.

The San Francisco Chronicle loves Very Volatile!

With all the hype being focused on mid-calf, lace up boots and grunge looks being mixed with high fashion, the San Francisco Chronicle just named Very Volatile's boot, the Warrior, one of the best boots of the Fall season. Food for Thought

Do you think Lady Gaga's meat dress that she rocked at the VMA's was the onset to a new fashion trend??

Looks like some might be taking a following.....haha.
However, this looks like a trend I might just have to disregard....

Idea for Thought

Women are replacing their leggings with designer boyfriend jeans, their heels with Oxfords, and their booty shorts for a more tailored, high-waisted look. Just when we think that fashion can't get any shorter and sexier, it takes a turn to give us a nice big surprise.

The defined gender lines that at one time segregated fashion, are now, dissipating with the uprise of trends that merge masculine and feminine looks and I have to say that I am a big follower of this.

I believe women grabbed onto this fashion trend quite quickly because it is a way for the woman to feel magnificent and a way for her to feel a sense of empowerment and equality. It is a way for the woman to express her inner tomboy who always danced in the background of her dolls, makeup, and dance videos.

To my amazement, men love this trend as much as women do. It gives them something different to look at and accept. The over the top, I am trying so-hard-for-you type of look is DONE and the naturalness of a woman is much more appreciated… And plus, what is more intriguing for a man than a woman in slightly baggier clothes...it leaves some room for the imagination and keeps their adrenaline pumping. (Ladies, big hint!)

I'd have to say my biggest two faves of this trend are the Boyfriend jeans and Oxfords. I am all about Oxfords right now. They can be worn with shift dresses, skirts, tailored shorts or jeans.

Staying in touch with the latest trends, Volatile has created some really cute Oxford inspired shoes for the Fall 2010. I have listed two below for you to see. One is just a basic Oxford called the Marlena and the Other is the Outlaw and is an Oxford inspired wedge for those of you who need some height!! Enjoy.

And let's not forget to say thank you to the designer who was first responsible for  introducing Menswear inspired clothing to women, Coco Chanel.

Volatile has been looking for new talent to sponsor and feature on www.volatileusa.com for the world to hear and we finally found them!!

With Sting inspired pop music and a unique sound that fuses the modern styling of Third Eye Blind and Dashboard Confessional, Adam Gardner (vocals/guitar), Britton Campbell (drums), Charlie Springhart (bass guitar), and Dave Baronio (guitar) live, eat, and breathe their passion. Their passion is simply changing lives in this generation through the power of music.

Along with their catchy tunes and grungy lifestyle, the band’s inspiration of life, family and music was very intriguing to the Volatile team and we were convinced to add This Is Energy to our site.

All members spawn from good, decent families where they were taught the values of hard work and strong relationships. Touching on the subject, Britton, the drummer for This Is Energy states, “The only time I’ve ever felt right is sharing the stage with my best friends and connecting with the people who enjoy our music. For the first time in our lives, we now understand that we can.”

In addition to hard work and strong relationships, the band holds a value in their passion for making music and uses this to drive all other things. Adam, who masters the vocals and guitar adds, “The reason I do this is because I want to change someone’s life in a unique way, the same way that music has changed mine.”

Now, they have a burning passion to pass their ENERGY on to future generations and to inspire everyone large and small to DO SOMETHING and BE SOMEONE, to make an impact on the world around them in a positive way, and to send a message to the entire world “Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams.” Volatile is very excited to help promote the bands positivity and inspirations.

There is no doubt that they are an unstoppable force, going to the very top, and they are bringing a generation with them.

Please vote for This Is Energy in their fight to win Battle of The Bands. Visit this link to vote: http://www.myspace.com/briggsbattleofthebands (Hurry! Only 5 days left to vote.)

Volatile Reaches Out

(April 26, 2010) NEW ORLEANS, LA. – On Monday, April 26th, Volatile Footwear presented NOAHH with a check for $23,000 from the sale of the Fleur de Lis collection. This donation brings the total donated from sales of the Fleur de Lis collection to just over $40,000.

In 2007, Volatile Footwear, a division of Palos Verdes Footwear, announced that a portion of the proceeds from their Fleur de Lis collection would be donated to New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity (NOAHH). For every pair of the Fleur de Lis collection sold, one dollar was donated to help build houses in the areas devastated by the hurricanes. Many retailers had also signed on to match the donation from the pairs sold in their stores to NOAHH.

“We are overwhelmed at the generosity of Volatile and their consumers,” stated Jim Pate, Executive Director of NOAHH. “These funds will go towards the building of a home for one of our partner families – truly a home that sandals built.”

"The people of Louisiana and Mississippi have embraced the Volatile shoe collection, especially our sandals. We wanted to do something to give back to the community," states Brian Lovely, Vice President of Product Development at Palos Verdes Footwear. "The Fleur de Lis is one of the most recognized symbols in the world. This hails back from French King Louis XIV and symbolizes the French influence of New Orleans. The symbol represents life, light, and perfection. To me, the symbol now represents the re-birth of the Gulf Coast affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita. We especially want to dedicate this to all our customers who are big fans of our brand.”

The initial collection began selling in September 2007 and consisted of Volatile sandals featuring the Fleur de Lis symbol. "Existing shoe stores and boutiques that carry the Volatile brand jumped on the collection before we even announced that we were teaming up with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity. We sold out our first two deliveries in less then a week", Michael Lovely, Vice President of Volatile Sales, stated.

"We believe that the proceeds of our shoe sales will help breathe some new life into New Orleans. We plan now to let the rest of the world know about it as well,” said Brian Lovely. "We hope that funds raised through the sale of the Volatile Fleur de Lis collection will help New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity."

Nothing about shoes...Just life.

"For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of each of your arms. As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands; one for helping yourself, and the other for helping others". -Audrey Hepburn

All Saddled Up…for the Party!

Cocktails anyone?? …
These equestrian style boots in this eclectic blue will add a little bit of funk to any woman’s wardrobe. Instead of the generic neutral tones most fashion followers tend to fall back on for the reassurance that they are not going to cross the boundary from a “pleasing” fashion do to the “objectional” fashion don’t, you can be reassured that these are definitely at the top of fall’s hottest fashion trends. Whether you are going out to that hot party you have been dreaming about for months or just staying in for the night, when adding these boots to your outfit, I recommend playing up the eclectic look of the blue boots by wrapping your long limbs in some bright, printed tights, then dress with a cute mini skirt in a preferred fabric choice and staple your look together with a leather bomber jacket. For those of you in colder atmospheres, add a solid hounds-tooth scarf!

In to the Wild

TREND ALERT!

ANIMAL PRINT

Your search for a great fashion-forward looks ends with the Shania boot. Soft suede upper in a knee high, flat boot with a round toe. The screen printed leopard pattern makes this boot a trend setting staple for any Volatile Girls wardrobe. This boot has a full side zipper, a 13 1/2 inch shaft and a ¼ inch square heel.

Feel Like a V…

Feel Like a Volatile Girl in any of these
eye-catching boots!

When Everything is a Favorite:

When Everything is a Favorite:
Do you have a favorite color? Favorite material? Favorite Shoe? I went on volatileusa.com and my eyes were about to pop out of my head due to an overwhelming sense of excitement I got when I saw all the cute shoes! I seriously didn’t know where to start. From the super classy ballet flat called Betty Suede, to the refined equestrian style boot called the Jockey, to the casual, comfort look of any of their classic tennis shoes, I couldn’t narrow my selection down to a favorite. But I guess I would have to say that this is more of a benefit for a lady’s shoe shopping experience than a detriment! I decided that if I was going to pick a favorite for today, it was going to be the website as a whole. So ladies, those of you looking for a website where there is a huge selection of Falls hottest shoe trends visit volatileusa.com. Sometimes when you can’t make up your mind…it’s not so bad!
