Ask Becca: What's in Store for Volatile's Spring 2013 Collection

This week styles from our Spring 2013 collections started arriving in our office.  Various styles from Very Volatile LA, Volatile, and Volatile Kicks will be showcasing beautifully colorful shoes like sandals, wedges, flats, and sneakers.  We met with Becca, the Brand Manager of Very Volatile and Volatile, to get insight on what to expect and look out for...

            

What inspired the Volatile & Very Volatile Spring Collection?

The Very Volatile collection was inspired by many different themes from all over the world, including Aztec prints, touches neon, tropical destinations, soft pastels and nautical inspired prints.

The Volatile collection is usually built off of existing patterns and constructions that are proven success and loved by our customers. Every year we update these shoes with newly inspired materials and colors, all focusing on the same trends as the Very Volatile brand, but driven more by style and comfort.

Though we do have some "old-faithfuls" in this collection, we see more color this time around.  What helped with choosing what colors to be presented this Spring?

We always try to keep at least one or two basic colors on every pattern such as black or natural. We also travel to Italy for the Lineapelle show to hear about upcoming trending colors for the new season.

There are multiple options of sandals, wedges, flats and also cowgirl boots.  How do you think this collection represents the Volatile and Very Volatile LA customer?

We try to meet the needs of all our customers. Within each customer base we have a wide range of women from all over the world that have different needs and expectations from us.

If you had to pick, what is your favorite style from our Spring Collection for both Volatile brands?

My favorite Volatile style would be the "Coconut" because it is a really cute, low basic that I can wear every day.  It comes in every basic color you can imagine, I want all of them!

It's really hard to pick my favorite Very Volatile style as we have so many great ones this spring! For daily wear I am loving the "Bewitch" because it is extremely comfortable and fun. When I feel like dressing up a bit and looking extra cute I love the "Tingle". It is really comfortable and the geometric raffia print on the wedge is super fun but it still matches everything with it’s solid upper.

Tell us a little about yourself... What is your role in the brand?

I work with factories to make sure that all the shoes we produce for our customers look beautiful and have great quality. I also work hard to make sure they fit well so you can stay cute and comfortable all day long :)
